Eight miles northwest of Windsor, the site is situated on 11,100 acres of water with 250 miles of shoreline and offer large tracts of carefully maintained indigenous woodland ideal for camping, hiking,horseback riding, snowmobiling, fishing,swimming, waterskiing, pontoon boating, or just plain bobbing and drifting on the glittering expanse of the lake itself.

importantInformation Camping fees are refundable if cancellation notification is received no later than 3 days prior to arrival. For a campsite, a "Single Family" consisting of 4 related adults with or without children occupying the same shelter are allowed; or a "Single Group" consisting of 4 unrelated adults with or without child ren occupying the same shelter are allowed. A responsible adult (18 years of age or older) from the camping party must register for the party and thereby acknowledge compliance with the rules and regulations of the park for the party. Pets must be leashed and attended at all times and all waste must be attended to properly. For the sake of all campers, disorderly conduct or unreasonable noise will not be permitted. Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m to 7:00 a.m. A swimming beach is available (when conditions permit). The cost is $1.00 per person. Illinois Administrative Code governs visiting and camping at all State Facilities.
